Every logic simulator puts you outside the machine, watching values flow through wires.

ZER0NE puts you inside.

You are the signal: a living bit flowing through the conduits of a vast machine in the void. Your body is your state: violet means 0, cyan means 1. NOT rings turn you inside out mid-flight. OR chambers blend you with their feeds. Firewalls admit only the value they love. And "transferring a value between elements" means traveling there yourself or writing yourself into a memory cell and letting the wires carry you where no conduit goes.

A small puzzle game about being a very small piece of data in a very large, very old machine. It has more to say than it first lets on.

What's inside

  • 15 levels
  • 3 secret levels
  • Multiple endings
  • Debug vision
  • A sandbox: Experimental
  • Personal records
  • English and Русский

Controls

Hold W to flow where you look · S backs away  · SHIFT boosts · E writes you into memory · TAB debug vision · R restart · ESC pause

Made for the 0/1 — NOT/OR Jam. 0s, 1s, NOT and OR are the whole language.

Stuck? Secrets & endings

The game can be finished in under an hour. The whole game takes longer, and nobody finds all of it by accident. Open only as many boxes as you need — each one gets more direct.

⚠ Spoiler alert — about the endings (mild)

There are three endings. Finishing all 15 sectors earns the first. The second asks you to have found and beaten both secret sectors that appear as "? ? ?" in the level select. The third is behind the third secret level, the one with no "? ? ?" — and the endings themselves will hint at the trail. Read the closing words carefully; the machine tells you where to look next.

⚠ Spoiler alert — finding Secret Sector 1
Tier 1

The debugger sees more than values. Some wires in the machine don't glow, but TAB remembers them.

Tier 2

Sector 03 — DOUBLE NEGATIVE. After the two NOT paths rejoin, stop at the junction and press TAB. Look around. One conduit is not like the others.

Tier 3

In 03, at the junction where the one-NOT and two-NOT paths meet (just before the lock), turn on debug vision: a near-invisible conduit, revealed in gold, climbs up and to the left toward a small dim violet ring. Gaze along it and press W. The ring is a warp. Enter it.

⚠ Spoiler alert — finding Secret Sector 2
Tier 1

Sector 10 is a ring. Rings have centers. Has anyone ever looked at what's in the middle?

Tier 2

In 10 — RING ROAD, stand at the northern junction (where you enter the ring) and press TAB. Something hangs above the center of the circle.

Tier 3

From the ring's entry junction, debug vision reveals a hidden conduit rising toward the ring's center, where a dim warp floats. Look toward the center, press W, and ride in.

⚠ Spoiler alert — the third secret and the TRUE ending (major spoilers)
Tier 1

Beat both known secrets first; the door does not exist for strangers. Then earn the second ending, and listen to what it says about the spire.

Tier 2

With both secrets beaten, replay 15 — THE SPIRE and climb to the summit. At the top junction, there is one direction that appears to hold nothing at all. No tube. No glow. Not even debug vision will admit it. The branch arrow, however, cannot lie.

Tier 3

At the summit junction of THE SPIRE (after beating Secret Sectors 1 and 2), slowly look out into the empty void, away from every visible conduit. When your gaze crosses the right direction, the branch arrow will light up pointing at nothing. Press W and keep flying — the invisible rail is long, and it ends at a warp to S3 — ROOT. Beat it, then return and finish THE SPIRE. The exit will not take you anywhere this time. It will ask.

⚠ Spoiler alert — for the truly desperate

The machine answers to a few undocumented debugging keys. They are not listed anywhere, not in the help, not in the manual. But a real engineer, staring at a timing puzzle, might wonder what happens if time itself could be paused or stepped, one tick at a time. Experiment near the spacebar.
